Why Z Tabs

Small extension, no surprises.

One connection, every tab

Zalo Web allows one chat connection per account. One tab becomes the hub and holds it; the other tabs send and receive through the hub, so none of them gets kicked out.

Close any tab you like

Even if the hub tab closes or freezes, another one takes over within a few seconds.

10 s

Safe fallback

If Zalo changes and no connection comes up within 10 seconds, every tab falls back to plain Zalo Web.

Count at a glance

A green badge shows how many Zalo tabs are open, from three up, on the toolbar icon too.

Privacy

Your chats stay between you and Zalo.

Z Tabs keeps no logs and sends nothing anywhere. Your tabs talk to Zalo exactly as before, just through one shared connection.

Z Tabs has nowhere to send your data, and no account to sign in to.

No analytics, no logs

Nothing is tracked, counted or stored outside your browser.

Off means off

Turn it off and reload: you are back on plain Zalo Web.

Not an official Zalo feature

A Zalo Web update may break it. Your chats keep working, just one tab at a time again.

One browser at a time

Zalo PC, or Zalo Web in another browser, still takes the single connection and disconnects every tab here.

Shared storage

Tabs share Zalo’s local database, so a conversation list may rarely need a reload.

Chromium browsers only

Needs Chrome, Edge or another browser built on Chromium 111 or newer. There is no Safari or Firefox version.

Install

Install once, then forget it is there.

Microsoft Edge

One click from Edge Add-ons, and updates arrive on their own. Then click the Z Tabs icon and flip the switch.

Google Chrome

Not on the Chrome Web Store, so it takes three steps:

  1. Download the latest zip from GitHub Releases and unzip it.
  2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click Load unpacked, pick the folder, then flip the Z Tabs switch.

Brave, Cốc Cốc, Opera, Vivaldi and other Chromium browsers install it the same way, from their own extensions page.
